On August 21, 1879, the residents of Knock began their daily routine as usual. When Mary Mcloughlin arrived at the church, Mary Byrne cried, “Look at that beautiful figure.” When they walked in, they saw a bright figure. Mary Byrne said, “Yes. Mother Mother”. On either side of her stood the Great St. Joseph and St. John the History, one on the left and the other on the right. To their right is an altar. On the altar stands a lamb surrounded by angels.
